Fertility Boosting Food is Easy!
Food is foundational to good fertility, so it’s a good idea to learn how to cook easy, tasty fertility boosting food. A protein packed greens breakfast can be hard to figure out…but not any more! My easy breakfast collard burrito bowl is fast, flavorful and, while I eat it for breakfast, it’s good for any meal. Click here to watch the video!
What’s For Breakfast?
Not cereal. And not eggs, for a change. I tell all my patients to eat protein for breakfast, but they get bored with eggs after a while. If you read my earlier blog on the Collard Burrito Wrap, this bowl will sound familiar. It’s mostly the same recipe, except the collards are cooked. Not everyone likes raw collard greens, and in the winter, raw food undermines fertility (no raw, cold food when it’s cold.)
Getting Greens
Greens are good for you, but how to store them? I give you a fast and easy way to keep them fresh and crisp in the fridge. You also get a peek at the fruit and veg drawer in my fridge!

Crisp even 6 days later because of my tea towel trick!
Adding In A Bit Of Zip
If you’ve ever wondered how to eat a daikon, I show you how to add some mild radish-y zip heat to the bowl by using one. In the picture above, daikon is the white cubes.
Readers of my blog will remember that I don’t do garlic (upsets my stomach); but you can add in garlic, onions, and other savory veggies to taste! Just like in my TexMex Salad vlog.
And How About Some Crunch?
You can add sesame seeds, pumpkin or sunflower seeds, sprouts and other crunchy toppings to add some texture variety. Sauces, too, if you want, but make sure there isn’t any added sugar or fake stuff in it.
Fertility Boosting Food Fast
Protein-check. Greens-check. Fats-check. Boosting fertility means FEEDING your fertility; that means eating a variety of foods, with the right macro and micro nutrients. It takes a million (maybe more) different molecules to create healthy eggs and sperm that will grow into a healthy embryo. We don’t even know all of the different molecules it takes. So a variety of fresh produce, good protein and good fats to stock the “pantry” of your follicle and nourish the egg deeply is the key to eating fertility boosting food.
And fast-absolutely. I’m an efficient fast-only cook, especially when it comes to breakfast. If it’s not fast, many women won’t eat breakfast. So the recipe is quick!!
It also uses some of the large batch of ground turkey that you can meal prep (I teach you how in the TexMex Supergreens salad video).
That includes clean up: I teach you how to use a minimum of utensils and tools so clean up is fast and easy too.
Fits all Types of Nutritional Needs
Paleo-friendly, gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, sugar-and-processed food free, but flavorful, with protein and greens. YUM. And you can eat this even if you aren’t trying to improve your fertility: it’s just all-around healthy and yummy!
